12 Pretty Things You Don’t Want to Live Without

If you listened to last week's episode you heard m If you listened to last week's episode you heard me talk about my past and the decisions that have haunted my memories.
[If your past mistake constantly weigh on your mind, bookmark this to encourage you as you let go of that.]

You know I like to share tips with you that I am actively implementing in my life, so in this episode I share four biblical ways that you can work in faith through remorse, regret, shame and embarrassment toward healing and joy.

I also dig into how the Gospel, self-centeredness and people-pleasing can cause us to live in a place of shame rather than in a place of freedom, and how taking our eyes off of ourselves and placing them back on Christ can help to break that bondage.

I want us all to walk in the freedom that is promised through the blood of Christ. If he has already fogiven us, who are we to give space to those things in our minds? As you go throughout this week, remember, we are a new creation in Christ. Our old self no longer lives, but Christ lives in us. Walk in that truth.

Jesse and I often seek out fun things to do together to keep the joy alive in our marriage! Whether it’s eating a box of cookies 😂, going restaurant hopping or renting electric bikes for a night in Nashville, we try to find new ways to be adventurous together.

We have realized how quickly marriage can grow stagnant without a little intentionality behind it!

{save/bookmark to look back on for conversation prompts}

In this particular conversation that I discuss on the podcast, Jesse and I talked about our past relationships, our regrets in those relationships and the embarrassment we feel about our actions.

I know I can be an over-communicator 😂. I love digging into topics that really help us get into each other’s minds. I’ve learned over the years that saying the hard stuff out loud helps me to process it and move on more successfully.

I encourage you to speak to your spouse if there is anything in your life topic that is weighing you down. These things lose their power once they are out in the open.

I pray that this conversation gives you courage and hope to move forward in your life as a believer, because God’s grace frees us from the bondage that we often feel trapped in. I pray that my babies never forget these special m I pray that my babies never forget these special moments & cherish them as much as I do. 🥹 This year our annual summer sleepover was a snuggly, hot cocoa dream. 🖤 Sutton’s sleepover is tomorrow night and I’m betting he will choose slushies and Parent Trap because that’s all he’s been wanting lately. 😌

I do these sleepovers every few months with a new activity each time (board games, restaurant date night, etc.) Both boys get to choose their treat, their movie and where we sleep! It’s almost always my bed, but sometimes it’s the floor. We haven’t done outside yet and I’m praying that that one never comes up as an option. 😂

We usually stay up super late and they’re usually *very* sleepy the next day, but it’s worth it 😂.

I love being their mama. These are moments I’ll hold onto forever and ever.

“Does your past haunt you?” This week on the “Does your past haunt you?”

This week on the podcast I shared very openly about my past and the decisions that have haunted my memories.

You can hear my testimony on episode 30 if you haven’t already listened to it. I made a lot of decisions and hurt a lot of people (and myself) along the way.

I have been working hard to move past the regret and shame that I often carry and wanted to bring you guys along for the journey.

My hope is that you use the practical advice given in this episode to move forward instead of allowing the enemy to hold you in that space of shame. Jesus cleaned the slate and we can walk in freedom as a new creation because of Him.

One of my main love languages will forever be spic One of my main love languages will forever be spicy food. If it will make me cry, I want to try it. 😂 Red and green chile bring so much happiness to my life, so I always want to share it with other people who may have never tried it.

If you’re looking for a new recipe to try with your family, this New Mexican recipe changes the game.

You can find the red chile pods online! We put it on everythingggg - eggs, enchiladas, burritos, open-faced burgers, hashbrowns, you can dip your tortillas in it, drink it with a spoon….😏😂
