I won’t even lie, the food scene in Nashville was a huge part of why we decided to move our little family across the country. At this point, I think all my followers know how big of a foodie I truly am and how much I love trying new places.

I love exploring new cuisines and trying hole-in-the-wall dives and well-known restaurants with fun, new and unique dishes. I have made a round-up of my FAVORITE places in Nashville and Franklin now that I am a local and all *wink wink* The list has an assortment of fancy, fun, good for date nights, and more!

Sinema

This movie theater-turned restaurant is an absolute must! The old 1920s feel of the Old Melrose Theater is so cozy and nostalgic for a casual mid-week dinner, private event, or even a wedding!

We went for Jesse’s birthday this year and it was so much fun! I am a burger SNOB and this is by far one of the best burgers I’ve had in Nashville!

Try the stuffed cookie skillet or coconut cake if you have room. Don’t forget to make a reservation for the bottomless weekend brunch, mimosas included 🙂

Hampton Social

Hampton Social is by far my favorite restaurant in Nashville for a fun day or night out. My go-to menu items are the Fish Tacos and the Brussel Sprouts with Goat Cheese – they are heavenly! The Lobster and Brie Dip and the Lobster Roll are as good as they come in Nash.

This three-story restaurant has such a fun coastal and feminine vibe. This is a huge go-to spot for bachelorette parties and group dinners, but my husband, Jesse, loves it as well! The rooftop is also worth seeing and looks over the Nashville bridge. Reservations are recommended (as always in Nashville!)

Chrysalis

Chrysalis is our go-to spot in Franklin and it truly never disappoints! It was also won the award for the #1 New Restaurant in Franklin and it deserved every bit of that award. The modern Italian menu boasts a sizable menu of small plates, pasta, flatbreads, and the Chef’s Feature menu of fish, steak, and other specials.

We love that each menu item can be made as a panini or pasta! My fave is the Vodka Diavolo. There is truly nothing better than spicy food and carbs! If you are looking for a light shareable appetizer, try the burrata.

Listening Room (Live Music)

What is Nashville without a live show? The Listening Roof Cafe combines the live music experience with great snacks and drinks like smoked wings, sweet and spicy pickles, and a Southern favorite – Pimento Cheese and Bacon Jam Crostini.

When we visited, one of the main writers for Garth Brooks and Reba was hosting. He played all of the songs that he had written for them and shared his stories and experiences behind each. I’m a huge country fan so this was one of the cooler experiences I’ve had in Nashville! P.S. Advance ticket purchases are required!

The Chef and I

Notably known as one of the top-rated restaurants (and experiences) in all of Nashville, The Chef and I will never disappoint. Bottomless mimosas and fun brunch options? They’ve got it! Some of the most delicious food created by some of the best chefs in Nash? That too!

It isn’t rare to see “One of the best meals I’ve ever had” written within the Yelp reviews. But not only do you get an amazing meal, you can also sit at the bar to watch the chefs cook in front of you (don’t miss this opportunity!)

Pinewood Social

If you are looking for a one-stop shop for date night, Pinewood Social is the place to be! This huge restaurant/study hall/bowling alley in one has hot tubs, ping-pong, bowling, and delicious food and drinks.

Their elevated food menu includes yummy salads, healthy bowls, burgers, and sandwiches. They even do breakfast and brunch on the weekend! Make sure to reserve your bowling lane ahead of time.

Assembly Food Hall

This is one of my top three go-to spots! Honestly, I practically live here 😉 The Assembly Food Hall not only has tons of restaurants but also shopping and is super conveniently located right off of Broadway.

You can get delicious tacos from Chilangos Tacos, Nashville’s famous hot chicken at Prince’s Hot Chicken, fresh sushi from Hour Sushi Kitchen, and SO many more great spots. This is the perfect spot to go for different palettes – there is a place for literally every craving!. We usually get a smorgasbord of sushi, hot chicken, velvet tacos, and ice cream.

Sixty Vines

For a bit of fancier fare and a gorgeous menu of wines,  you must try Sixty Vines which sits atop the Assembly Food Hall. The vibe is energetic, aesthetic, and so green! The menu has an assortment of  simple, but flavorful salads, gourmet boards, pastas, and pizza. The drinks are amazing!

I highly recommend pairing the Rose and a few shareable items like the Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Pan-Roasted Mussels, and the Shrimp and Smoked Bac0n pizza. It is the perfect girl’s night out!

McGavock’s

McGavock’s Coffee Bar & Provisions is inside the most beautiful hotel in Franklin, The Harpeth. The hybrid coffee shop+bar has delicious breakfast, brunch, and lunch fare.

You definitely can’t go wrong with any of their southern favorites like their famous steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, hot chicken wedge salad washed down with a Froze or masterfully crafted coffee.

It is also a popular spot for networking, so it’s a great spot to meet new people and make connections.
