31 | Jesse Maestas: How to Keep Video Games, Sports & Hobbies From Damaging Your Marriage

Studies show that men playing video games is cited as a cause in 15% of divorce cases. But video games aren’t the only struggle – sports, time with friends cars and other hobbies can all create difficulty if not handled wisely.

Marriage takes compromise – and that includes finding balance in activities that each person enjoys doing alone. Jesse and Lindsey have argued over the topic of hobbies since they were first married. But 8 1/2 years later, they are not perfect, but they have learned a lot.

They share what they have gained from counselors and their own experiences, they discuss the changes that they’ve implemented to make life more enjoyable and how they have learned to use communication and shared responsibilities to create joy in their home.
