Tish Carlson loves Jesus, is wife, a mom of 3, and owns multiple businesses – and she also takes depression medication.

On today’s episode, Tish gets candid with Lindsey Maestas about her struggle with depression and how it has affected these very important roles in her life. She talks about what depression looks like for her (anger, suicidal thoughts) as well as how and why it can look much different for other people.

We discuss the feelings that she has had since she started taking depression medication – the little pink pill – as well as how depression has affected her relationship with Jesus.

She shares her perspective on the common misconception that mental illness is a sin, while sharing her hope in the church’s approach to Christian mental health as a whole.

“Some days, prayer and bible study just aren’t enough to fix my depression.”
