This past weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to host a Meet & Greet Event and it was more than I could have dreamed! I worked together with our local shopping center, Cottonwood Mall, to plan a “Merry Girl’s Night Out.”

Our hope was to give the women the opportunity to gather some friends and enjoy an evening of holiday shopping, mingling and tons of great giveaways in the midst of the holiday chaos!

When I first arrived, people were already lining up to come in. You guys, I was so extremely nervous (to say the least) but also so, so excited to meet many people that I’ve only had the opportunity to talk with through social media.

I can’t put into words how blessed I was to finally hug and see the faces of hundreds of women who have supported me whole-heartedly with graciousness and encouragement from the very beginning of Sparrows + Lily.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that there are real people reading the words that I write on a computer screen. But throughout this night, God gave me the sweet and necessary reminder that all of this has a purpose.

I’ve said from the very beginning of S+L that this blog is all about God and people. It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers or the engagement and to be tempted to lose sight of the primary focus.

But gosh, I never want to lose focus. I will always remember that these women have been far more impactful to me than I have ever been, or could ever be, to them.

Smith’s and The Paleta Bar were kind enough to donate treats, so we enjoyed those treats and drinks, played fun games and danced to the electric slide (naturally.)

We had Sephora, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and many other stories set up tables to share their products. We also had a DIY ornament station which created great conversation and allowed people to display their own creativity!

At the end of the event, I had the incredible opportunity to announce the giveaways to the women who came out!

We gave away three Coach Purses, three $100 Smith’s gift cards, a $250 Sephora gift card, a beautiful gold key necklace, Monsta workout clothes and a $1,000 Christmas tree and decorations from Hobby Lobby!

It was such a blast! I’m so thankful to all of the women who came out to support Sparrows + Lily and The Milk and Honey Podcast. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know!

Another huge thank you to Eric Draper for the lovely photos and of course to Cottonwood Mall for making this event come to life and for the wonderful sponsorship from their stores!

If you’re local, don’t forget to stop at Cottonwood Mall to finish up your holiday shopping (their new Forever 21 store is amazing!), grab some delicious food and prepare for the beautiful chaos that is the holidays!

With Grace,

Lindsey
