Quick and Easy Spicy Chicken Fried Rice: Better Than Takeout

Pregnant as a Christian college girl at age 19. T Pregnant as a Christian college girl at age 19.

This episode on the podcast was special. Emily shared what life looked like through her perspective as she and I walked through a very difficult season of her life together (right after we had become friends!) She discusses her perspective of that part of her life and how getting pregnant young impacted her marriage and her youth.

I pray that someone may be encouraged by this today, so be sure to take a listen or send to a friend. Comment below “ISOLATED” to listen to the full episode. 🖤
Grandma Lindsey comin’ at ya — & spicing thing Grandma Lindsey comin’ at ya — & spicing things up in the bedroom. 👵🏼🔥 . He really said, “I wasn’t going to waste this opportunity.” 🤣 such a punk.
Sometimes my home feels like complete and utter ch Sometimes my home feels like complete and utter chaos — to a point where I feel like the only option is to escape. I know that many would say that that is “normal” in a home with two high-energy, young boys, but sometimes the overstimulation gets the best of me. It makes me into someone I don’t want to be.

I feel overwhelmed, and I feel this constant ache for some version of rest. I succumb to filling it with scrolling time, Netflix binges, or fiction book reads. But none of it helps.

I imagine God watching my life and asking, “How many times do you need the reminder that you need rest for your soul, Lindsey?” I fight against it, often seeking solace in so many other things before going to God’s Word. I’m immediately reminded that we need His Word more than we need quiet in our homes, more than we need a mental break, more than we need “me time”, and more than we everything in our lives to fit together like a perfect puzzle piece.

I’m grateful for His gentle reminders to find my rest in Him. This verse in the Psalms resonated with me this morning: “I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall be far from me.”

How often do we set our eyes on things that are worthless? Are we leading our family in prioritizing these things? The things that draw us away from the goodness of God, like endless scrolling, that get us caught up in comparison, envy, laziness, sin, and temptation?

I want to walk with integrity in my home. I want to lead in love, grace, holiness, and joy.

So just in case you need the gentle reminder today, this world will never fill your heart — all of it comes to an end. But God and His love are infinite; only He will satisfy.
Do you struggle to find good friends as an adult o Do you struggle to find good friends as an adult or as a couple?

In this podcast episode, you get THREE different perspectives on finding friends as an adult.

They talk about how to find couple friends and why it’s okay if your husband doesn’t love hanging out with that one person, and most importantly, we discuss how expectations, different life stages (such as having babies or getting married) AND boundaries can all affect a friendship, and how to navigate through that.

Comment “adultfriends” below, and I will send you a DM with a link to help you learn more about how to make good friends as an adult! 🖤
He’s a crazy man, but he sure is a good one 😭 He’s a crazy man, but he sure is a good one 😭🖤 I begged him to reconsider and to just go late, but he‘s as stubborn as a mule and as selfless as they come. 🥹
Our sweet, sweet boy made the decision to get bapt Our sweet, sweet boy made the decision to get baptized! Oh my heart. Only God can do things this big! We cried — a lot. I’ve held this video tightly to my heart for the past few weeks, but I wanted to share with all of you because it is such a humbling testament to who God is. I lived a broken and messy life before knowing Jesus; it’s only by His grace that my family gets to experience His goodness.

Sutton has felt every moment of this journey. He gave his heart to Jesus quite a while ago and has been praying for some time about this public proclamation of his faith. It meant more to him that I could have ever prayed 🥺. He believes so deeply in the love and grace and forgiveness of Jesus. 😭 I’m so proud of him for making this big decision for himself (he was also sooo nervous to be up there 😅). One of the greatest gifts of my life has been to watch his journey of faith, to talk through his many questions, to read together and to hear his heart in prayer. My mom-heart is overflowing with joy, knowing his curiosity and love for God all started when he was teeny tiny.

He has already said 100 times “I am so glad I made the decision to get baptized.” 🖤 “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Romans 6:4. What a gift. 🙏🏼
