Jesse and I recently took a little romantic getaway to Denver and it was my first time there! It was such a lovely city.
We were gifted a stay at The Renaissance Downtown Denverwith the ‘Mother’s Love’ package which was created to allow mommas from all over to get a little bit of peace and quiet. We were so blessed by the entire experience!
We were right in the center of Downtown Denver and, although we had a car, we used it very rarely because the location of the hotel allowed us to walk to a lot of our planned destinations.
We were only a few minutes walking distance from 16th Street which has a ton of restaurants and great nightlife.
We were treated to some delicious meals at incredible restaurants, including a memorable one at Rhein Haus Denver where we enjoyed huge pretzels, delicious bratwurst and super fun bocce ball!
After having a baby nine months ago, Jesse and I were really excited to have some refresh time together and this trip was honestly one of the most relaxing and romantic we have ever had!
When we arrived, the hotel was kind enough to gift us with champagne, strawberries and free Breakfast-in-Bed for the entirety of our stay.
The Denver hotel had so much character and history because it used to be an old bank! We had fun exploring the basement and seeing all of the massive vaults.
The rooms were clean, modern (I loved the marble shower) and the lobby was incredibly gorgeous. We stared up at the ceiling every time we walked in and out of the hotel.
We walked to Syrup on one of the days that we didn’t do “Breakfast in Bed” which was only about 5 minutes away. We literally had the best Crunchy French Toast that we’ve ever had! SO good!
We walked around the city for quite a while after breakfast before heading out to Boulder and Estes Park for the day.
We were so excited to try the hotel’s fine-dining restaurant ‘range’; it smelled so good every time we walked by! I’m not exaggerating when I say I still dream about the Sriracha Fries. I need that recipe!
Everything that we ordered was delicious. We started with the French Onion Soup which was heavenly. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Sriracha Fries and Jesse ordered the Ribeye with Green Beans. The steaks were cooked to perfection and sides were INCREDIBLE.
We finished off the meal with perfectly soft-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside, cinnamon sugar churros, dipped in chocolate sauce.
We had such a lovely time in Denver and are already planning to go again! Thank you Renaissance Downtown Denver Hotel for hosting us, for the incredible getaway and for the delicious meals. We’ll definitely be back!
