A Drive-In Movie Theater Theme: Kid’s Birthday Party

Let’s be friends! Follow along with my on my podcast, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest!

What a fun day this was! This Drive-In Theater Party was by far my favorite theme we have ever done for a kids’ birthday party (and we always like to go all out!)

Just wait until you see these CUPCAKES. I found them on Pinterest and had to have them. I honestly love using Pinterest to plan and blend ideas to create the perfect theme for our boys and our family!

I’m also so lucky to have my sweet sister-in-law, Tynisha, who is a party planner for Salted Event Planning. She is always immensely helpful in bringing all of the unique party ideas together. Also a huge thanks to Tish Carlson for these pretty photos!

We threw this party on 4th of July, so it’s now going to be our 4th of July party tradition! We wanted to keep the theme and colors relevant to the holiday and thankfully it meshed perfectly with the drive-in movie theme. The only part of the party that was outside of the drive-in theater theme was Sutton’s Fortnite cake, but the blue cake still tied in perfectly.

We sent out a cute, popcorn-themed invitation which Tynisha created on Canva which said, ‘Now Showing: The Little Rascals’ so that our guests knew which movie to prepare for.

We set up our large inflatable movie screen and projector which is so amazing for parties – but also for at-home date nights, girl’s nights and family movie nights! And it was absolutely perfect for a kid’s birthday party! This screen is one of my favorite purchases that we have made for our family.

The brown kraft carriers were stuffed with chips, coca-cola or cream soda, popcorn and a food-themed squeeze toy that each guest got to take home with them.

The concession stand signs and movie ticket napkins added so much to the party decor. I stuffed the cones on the popcorn stand with red, white and blue candy popcorn. Sweets galore filled the house!

It’s difficult to say what my favorite part of this party was because I loved it all so much! However, watching The Little Rascals with all of the people we love while fireworks went off in the background was probably the icing on the cake for me.

Here are a few other party theme ideas that we have had a lot of fun with:

PIN THIS PARTY FOR LATER!

You never know when you might need it! 🙂
