The time is finally here! I feel like it took WAY longer than expected to get this FIRST reveal post from the #TargetHouse out to you guys.
It has been my experience that, in a renovation, you can add at least 3 months to your completion date on average to determine when you’re actually going to be done.
For me, it’s about 6 months…and counting. 😉
This modern master bathroom renovation was a little nerve racking for me, if I’m honest. I was really hesitant about the fact that the master bath was so small and originally hesitated to buy for that reason.
The L-shaped vanity made the space even smaller and the wall that separated the vanity and shower made it feel really closed off.
I wanted to make sure that I chose every detail really well so that every element was used well to make the most of the space that we had.
This bathroom fits “my style” possibly more than anything else in the house (a close competitor being the kitchen), which is likely why I often find it such a peaceful place to be!
I chose the black bathroom vanity and brass fixtures because I absolutely love the combination of classic / trendy. It feels unique enough to me but not overly daring.
We kept in mind that we will likely make this home an AirBnB in a few years, so we also wanted to keep it fun.
The marble tile in the shower is something I have wanted ever since I became interested in home design about 7 years ago and I couldn’t be happier with how that turned out.
We were originally going to do patterned tile for this bathroom floor, but – long story short – I unknowingly ordered black instead of gray (which would have clashed with the vanity.)
We ended up putting it in the laundry room instead. I actually love how the light wood looks up against the marble and the black, so I’m really glad we decided to run with the wood flooring.
And, you guys, the mirrors make me so HAPPY! I actually put them in because our light sconces were too far in and I really didn’t want to do just one mirror. After literally months of searching, I found these and they were thin enough to fit and I’m obsessed with the design.
You can imagine that Jesse and I are both super thrilled that we don’t have to use small makeup mirrors anymore while we get ready. 😉

Absolutely beautiful. You have a great eye for remodeling. Most people would see the old bathroom and have no what to do with it. Enjoy.
This is my new inspiration pic. Thank you!
Question: What color is the hardware on your frameless shower? Is that black or bronze? Also, is the shower hardware gold or bronze?
Hi there! The hardware is black to match the vanity. And the shower hardware is gold!
