Ladies – whether you’re newly engaged or you’ve been married for years, everyone wants to take great care of their rings!
This incredibly easy, fool-proof jewelry cleaner recipe will keep your rings shiny and you’ll never have to go to the jewelry store again!
I LOVE my rose gold rings and I want to take great care of them. But I have this thing about dry hands – I literally have to have lotion on at all times or I panic. I am also the queen of losing things which means I literally can’t take my wedding rings off for anything (no matter what!)
This combination is literally lethal for keeping my bling in tip-top shape. I destroy them with lotion, sunscreen, conditioner, you name it.

I used to go to the jewelry store on a monthly basis to get my rings cleaned but with two babies under 3, who on earth has time for that?!
A sweet family friend of ours shared this ring cleaning trick with me and I seriously haven’t been back to the jewelry store since!
This homemade ring wash recipe keeps my rings super shiny and it only takes a few minutes to get them back into brand-new condition. They are genuinely so shiny every time I finish doing this (which is now about every two weeks.)
The best part is that you will most likely have all of these ingredients in your house at all times!
What You’ll Need:
1/2 Cup Hot Water
1/2 Cup Windex
1 Tbsp. Baking Soda
1 Tbsp. Dawn Dish Soap
1 Tbsp. Vinegar
A toothbrush
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients together in a glass dish.
Set your rings in the liquid cleaner for 10-15 minutes (I like to do it while I’m getting ready.)
Use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the mixture in between the small diamonds.
Take the rings out, dry them off with a dish towel and you’re done!
I hope this ring wash saves you some trips to the jewelry store and keeps your bling as good as new. 🙂

Have you tried this on other jewellery like silver chains and pedants?
it is suitable for all metal alloys. do not use this on costume jewellery or pearls, anything with threading.

Hi Beth! Yes! I just keep mine in a glass tupperware with a click-on lid. :)
How long does the solution last ?
Hi Katie! I will usually replace mine after about a month or two.
Is this safe to use on opals?
I haven't tried that yet, but I don't see why not. I would do some research first just to make sure it's safe! Good luck!
Opal requires using your solution to clean. Dot a little olive oil on the opal rub it in the stone. Rub dry
I have a white/yellow combined charm bracelet, do you think it would be safe to clean with this solution?
Ok this really worked! Very well indeed!
I cut the recipe in half (lol almost out of dawn and only had a small glass container to store in)
Only thing I did different was I washed the rings after, sorry I got eczema and cant have anything on my skin that I dont put on it regularly. Still worked great! It's so pretty now!!
